Launch and Configure

When you launch KillDisk Industrial for the first time, the application will display the main interface with a list of all available storage devices detected on your system. Before performing any operations, it is recommended that you review the default settings to ensure they align with your requirements.

To access the application Preferences, click Tools > Preferences from the main menu. The Preferences dialog provides configuration options for various aspects of the application, including erasure methods, certificate templates, disk labels, and notification settings. You can adjust these settings at any time to suit your specific needs. For most users, the default settings are appropriate for standard disk management tasks.

To begin using KillDisk Industrial, Disk Bay Layout must be created to mimic your actual device configurations. See: Create Disk Bay Layout.
